“The Trip” This is the tune that kicked off the idea of me making an album. I went to India and took some long, long train journeys so was fortunate enough to meet many types of the very kind & generous Indian people, who ranged across all the many and varied ways of humanity, from A for Atomic to B for Biblical if you like. Anyway to cut a long story short after I came back I tried to give some idea of my journeying in a little tune with all the usual clichés (sitars, tablas ,etc),MMmm ..Been done a million times..so I scratched that & jazzed out instead with Mr. Mantovani and some extra special jazzing with Mr. Beaujolais. And I managed to get an Auto Rickshaw reverse horn in towards the end too, and drums, always more drums.
