A Dialogue with Public Space

A Dialogue with Public Space is a project to engage the general public with public space. I travelled around London creating a series of typographic interventions within the environment. These featured rhetoric statements which encourage questions about the nature and success of public space.

Wandsworths shoot encountered problems with Security, instead of trying to fake the intervention in the printed book a point was made about the changing nature of Public Spaces. The project uses a visual theme of 'bracketing / framing' throughout.

These interventions where photographed and collated into a two-person book which uses space itself. Two books are bound together. One book is titled ‘A Dialogue with Public Space’ featuring all of the odd number pages, and the other ‘A Dialogue with Privately owned Public Space’ has all of the even pages.
