An enduring throw-up of the 1995 electro revival launched by labels such as Clear, Pharma, and Rephlex, Elektroworld is a slickly produced, if mostly in-the-pocket collection of Kraftwerk-inspired electro. Although a retro vibe predominates, included among Elektroworld's more obviously cheek-tonguing cuts are "Floatation" and "Perpetual Motion," which rate among the best from new-styled electro artists such as Drexciya and Plaid.
